Rundle Lantern

Adelaide City council launched a new city attraction yesterday Friday, it's called Rundle Lantern. At first when I saw it lit on, it never crossed my mind that this is the same design which I saw a year ago. When "Rundle Convergence" concept was still in tender process and they had around 6-9 different design proposals, IDF made the animations and artist impressions for the City Council.

After I saw all the photos taken yesterday and some browsing through the internet, now I remember exactly how the original design was. It used to have longer screen and twice wider than what they have now. IDF put an image of flying birds on blue cloudy sky as the projector image. I'll check my project archive on Monday.. and see if my memory still working.

Anyway, personally I think Rundle Lantern is a good new stuff for Adelaide. It is really great to see some colour come in to the city bit by bit. Start with Adelaide Festival Centre 2 years ago when they introduce the new look (more purple), Adelaide Convention Centre with it's logo that look so much like one of the building in Brissie..

And of course, we had so much fun that night. Tired one but still alright coz seems everyone was exhausted by different reason.
