Sate, gamelan, dangdut + wine affair + gallery + starry city

Although it is not as big as last year, but Indofest 2009 to me this year was awesome. You could almost smell the Sate flavor 200m away from the entrance, somewhat making this as typical Indofest smell.

As predicted, there were long queues in front some of the food stalls. We bought bakso $8.50 came in kids portion :P and 10 chicken sate $1.50/ea so tasty you can feel the meat so soft melted in your mouth (iron chef style). Taste so different with the original sate Pak Jangkung Madura, operating at Cendrawasih 2.

I think the highlight was when the contemporary traditional band - gamelan campur rock band performed plus not to forget the infamous colourful sexy bodbod dandut singer Immelfi. seriously TOPBGT!! you only can see this excitement at traditional kampoeng wedding with orkes dangdut there.

We then headed to Food and Wine Affair at North Adelaide where Sue was checking out a guy motorbike. A little bit Samosa, camels and country music before we personally accidentally invited by Russell Starke the owner of Greenhill Gallery. Small gallery with beautiful paintings and friendly host.

Since we have one extra hour start this month, freezing yourself death while trying to locate Adelaide Airport at the Kensington Rd Lookout seems a great way to spent the night. Maybe next time we should bring thicker coat or blanket and some wedang jahe.

what we learnt:
Come to festival 1 hour before the closing time so you can get free entry.
Listerine always work (tips from the party girl)
Wear expensive specs, you will see your life in different perspective. (tips from the artist)
Practice makes perfect. Clapclap to flower girl who master parallel parking at her second try.
