33B33/5 - do family portrait with parents and brothers

My family seldom never dressing up for no reason. That's why when we had my engagement party in JKT - where we all dressed up (especially my mom), we asked the photographer to took our picture together. So, here they are.. (minus baby Andrea) Love them very much till my nails and toes..

Garden Party

Some pictures from the party last weekend. Mr Chai's brother had his engagement party, celebrated at his wife-to-be's family residence in Rancamaya, Bogor. Rain was pouring hard but the party was great, with non-stop life music from the wedding singers - 6 of them! 

Local Wedding

If you married, you marry the whole village. I think this is the perfect sentence to describe what happening in my house right now.
No, it's not my wedding. But this is the second time for my family to get involve in a local wedding. As you know we live in a suburb area where most of the neighbourhood are Betawi. One of our neighbour have a wedding reception tomorrow, that means Sunday. Because my parents' house is the only place that have enough open space in the neighbourhood, they decided to open the kitchen here.

Our house have been full with local ladies since yesterday and hmmmmm I can smell different food flavour change every hours.  And of course the ultimate advantage is I can just come in, help a bit , but eat a lot!

It's almost 10PM but the kitchen are still cooking. They said they will stay up tonight to cook more for tomorrow.  I think I will dream floating in food heaven tonight... 

Mom's best angle

If you notice from previous posts she always turns her face somewhere else whenever I click the camera. I think she realizes her best angle is not to 'model-pose' but more kinda like 'paparazzi-pose' - I pretend to be busy but phulease take my pictures - style.

Anyway, I love her although lately she's been trying to adopt my style. From Cardigan, Loose T-shirt, Cropped pants, Belts, and the famous Daster-dress, oh not to mention the light smoke eyes. Maybe next time I'll post some comparison photos.

Her friends told me mom started to dress up again since I stay in Jakarta. It's fun seeing somehow she cares about her look, it's like playing dress-up-Mama-Barbie.  

Cousin's wedding

This is long overdue. I just got a chance to upload photos from my camera and here are some photos from my cousin's wedding last month.
During small drama, finally my lovely cousin tied the knot in a nice church. There were lots of tears in the guest seats while she read her vow.  A nice simple intimate dinner reception followed after that.

Violet Invitation

Some drafts for my cuz' wedding invitation. She wants to have a simple affordable DIY invitations which wont give big problem for me. ME? yes.. because I'm the one who's going to make them. Thank God, there will only be 200.

Her colour palette is violet with light pink, I hope these are not too cheesy. They all are folded card, flat printed on white matte photo paper with some material combination.


I'm still waiting feedback from her, hope she will sign one of them off. I love shopping Stationary... *if I only knew where to go in Jakarta.

(dark) beach party

Mom asked me to come with her to a wedding reception of her friend's son. It was suppose to be an outdoor beach party, but I personally think all the guest were really quiet. Probably not happy because have to skip one world cup game tonight.
Anyway, a nice reason for us to dress up and fill our shoes with sand.
