Then around 11YO, I sneaked in to my brother's room and opened his Biology book. It was just natural because the book had lots of pictures. There I found my name - Vena Cava Superior! and even better there was another one Vena Cava Inferior! At that time I feel so special.. because everyone in the world have me close to their heart!! I feel loved and important!!
But that feeling not last for long after I learned there is another person on my small world have the same name - Venna Melinda. Errr.. I'm not going to start commenting anything about her now.
So, today between New Moon and Eclipse - yes, Finally I watched Twilight Saga! and I'm not proud of it - I browsed and looked for the meaning of a Vena.

I found this story as told by Vena McGrath, it is a King Name from Hindu Mythology. Then I found more information about this name in here and here.
In Rigveda 10.123 it is mentioned that Vena is described being born of the sun hence they call him 'Son of the Sun' and there is a theory that Venus for the name of planet is related to Vena.
In later Hindu Mythology, Vena is described as a wicked King. He declared himself as a real God and asked people in his kingdom to not do any offering and sacrificial. This make the world became so gloomy and dark. After the sages tried to convince Vena repeatedly to do some offering but denied, they took the King's life. They then rub the thigh of his corpse, and take out all the evil from his body. Afterwards they rubbed Vena's arm, and the good Prithu emerged. This being was Vishnu incarnate, and as soon as he was born, Vishnu's Sharanga bow fell from heaven into his hands.
Since King Vena's regime all the vegetation had been destroyed from all over the earth by earth goddess - Bhumidevi. Try to help his people from hunger, Prithu ran after Bhumidevi who went into hiding and took form as a cow. As soon as Prithu, son of Vena, threatened to kill her, she gave in, but in return Prithu would be her eternal guardian. This is why Bhumidevi is also known as Prithvi.
*So.. no wonder I could be so evil sometime
And there is also a waterfall in Venezuela which in Pemon language called Kerepakupai-vena meaning 'waterfall of the deepest place' or Parakupa-vena meaning 'the fall from the highest point'
Oh, almost forget somehow in European tradition they celebrate Name Day and Vena is celebrated on 13th August. How cool is that?! I have another day to celebrate....
